Mission Australia Festival of Potential Facebook campaign
We created a Facebook page to support the Festival of Potential - a project organised in December 2010 by American Express and Mission Australia to raise money and awareness for Mission Australia's Creative Youth Initiatives.
With a reputation for providing technical advice and support to charities, we were well placed to design and implement a Facebook app for this project.
Visitors to the project website were encouraged to contribute text, images or videos to a 3D artwork entitled the 'heART of Potential. The animated collaborated artwork was then displayed on the American Express Facebook pages to users who 'liked' the project. For each entry submitted, American Express donated $25 to Mission Australia.
We worked closely with design agency, Made with Ed, and marketing agency, Momentum, to develop an interactive application for the festival, leveraging the Facebook API and 'like' function.
Visitors can search for other contributed entries by a series of filters, allowing them to share specific entries with other users and unlock the American Express Potential.
The festival culminated in an exhibition event in Sydney on the 3rd - 4th December with the completed 'heArt of Potential' artwork being displayed publicly.
