Trend Micro is a global leader in antivirus and web security technology solutions. They produce a wide range of software products suitable for home users, through to large enterprises. As there are a great number of authorised Trend Micro resellers, it is understandably difficult for customers to identify and locate their closest stores. Trend Micro engaged Interesting to assist in the design and development of an online tool to assist website visitors to locate resellers in their area.
Interesting worked closely with Trend Micro to carefuly identify and document their business and technological needs. The final solution was developed using the Google Maps API core and a customised interface providing users with the details of the closest relevant results. Additionally, the Locator tool features a custom-built administrative interface allowing Trend Micro to administer the reseller locations and verify the input address validity.
The Locator was completed in January 2009 and remains a valuable tool on the Trend Micro website.
